For sale is a rather rare postcard from 1912. I am not a postcard expert; however, I'm pretty certain the fact that pictures of women in Edwardian clothing are pasted to the back possibly detracts from the value purely as a post card. On the other hand, maybe not. The very interesting thing about this card, however, is that a reliable Titanic source believes that the women in the pics on back look similar to pictures of second and third class widows whose husbands went down with the ship. I obviously have no way of proving it, but I will note that the women are not dressed in black and, if they truly are Titanic widows, they seem to have gotten past the period of mourning. I accept paypal. Card will be sent to your in a sturdy plastic holder designed to protest postcards. Please email with any questions. Shipping to destinations outside of USA will be more costly. And please don't ask for better pics: I'm simply unable to focus my camera any better - and I do apologise.

Up for auction is a real photo postcard of the Great Lakes Freighter "Chas. R. Van Hise", presumably on the Detroit River, Detroit Michigan. Postmarked 1916, Pesha Photo 3257, this card is in good condition, with minor corner and edge wear. When you let me send you the invoice for multiple postcards, I can combine shipping on multiple purchases of postcards from the same auction. Watch for more great Michigan postcards in my upcoming auctions. Shipping is $1.50 to anywhere in the world. Thanks for bidding!
