Up for auction are two Whitney Made postcards from the early 1900's. Both cards were used, and each have a 1 cent stamp. The card with the vegetable children pulling the pumpkin ,has a chip like spot on the very top middle of the card. The second card with the pumpkin, mice, and black cat, with the green hat, also has a chip on the bottom middle of the card. The chip is just a little over one 1" wide. Next to the chip is writing that says "The smiling lady", and the top left corner has been bent. These cards have some wear around the edges due to use and age. However, I would consider these cards to be in fair to good condition. Thanks for looking..01

HB Griggs Halloween Postcard Ghost Chasing Boy ~ 1911 This postcard features a wide-eyed boy running out of the woods through a pumpkin patch. In his arms, he is carrying a very large pumpkin. Behind him, someone dressed as a ghost is chasing after him. The caption reads, "May You Have the Time of Your Life This Hallow-een!" The postcard was written on and mailed. Postmark reads Philadelphia, Penn Square Station, October 30, 1911. It is in very good condition with no creases or tears and minimal wear at the edges.
