Notice the candle in the foreground and the full yellow moon seen through the window, high in the nighttime sky, in the background! One of the most GORGEOUS Winsch/Schmucker cards. OUTSTANDING! The caption reads, 'Hallowe'en Time. Tonight upon your pillow, Close your eyes and hide your head, For the fairies and the goblins, Will be hovering round your bed.'. Copyright 1911 by John Winsch. HALLOWEEN POSTCARD 6500/6505 BLACK AMERICANA JOL-Man~NM A fantastic original vintage Black Americana postcard. Circa 1907-1915! Featuring a glowing JOL walking towards a young child. Notice the owl sitting on the tree branch in front of the full moon! OUTSTANDING and VERY RARE! We believe this is one of only five known Black Americana Halloween postcards from the early 1900's! The caption reads, 'Strange sights are seen on Halloween'. Series #6505. Measures approximately 5-3/8 x 3-3/8 inches. An excellent vintage postcard with outstanding graphics! THE CONDITION IS NEAR MINT! Writing on back with a handwritten date of 1910; not postmarked. NO stains, tears or creases. AN INCREDIBLE RARE FIND in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION! To all my valued Ebay customers-I generally don't offer anything during the summers months because I'm to busy to list,but with the &amp;quot;great&amp;quot; stuff I'm finding and the pile continuing to grow-I felt it time to list until it thins out............We are offering items from several different Upstate New York Estates-TAKE A L@@K!!! This item is a set of 4 Early Pre-1920's &amp;quot;HALLOWEEN&amp;quot; Postcards for 1 Price!!! As you can see by the pics, all are in pretty good shape w/no tears or staining[typical wear of some edges as seen. The 2 blue ones are Raphael Tuck &amp;amp; Son &amp;quot;Hallowe'en&amp;quot; Series #197. All found in a trunk in a old farmhouse in Upstate New York. There will be NO RESERVE. Good luck and enjoy this auction!!!
