This is one of several Claiborne, Maryland postcards that we are listing. It is a town at the western edge of Talbot County on the Chesapeake Bay on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, just before you arrive at Tilghman Island. The Baltimore, Chesapeake & Atlantic Railroad ran from the ferry pier at Claiborne to Ocean City. Please see the photographs, which can be enlarged and are part of the description. This postmarked 1925 printed postcard is titled Claiborne & Annapolis Ferry, Claiborne, Md. and shows the steamboat Majestic at the pier. I believe this boat carried automobiles as well as passengers. It was mailed from Neavitt. Printed on the reverse is Pub. by L. V. Johnson, St. Michaels, Md. This is guaranteed to be as described and pictured and is returnable within 7 days if it is not. Please email any questions, and see the terms of sale below. Postage is at cost and can be combined. Customs forms will be accurate, and you are responsible for knowing the duties and fees of your country. Good Luck !

Please see the photographs, which can be enlarged and are part of the description. This unused real photograph postcard shows Main St. Claiborne, Md. There is a stamp on it, but it has never been used. I would guess the date to be circa. 1914. Most early Claiborne cards are scarce or rare. In the top view, a steamboat is visible at the left. The bottom view is looking toward the land, with a line of boxcars. The card was mailed from McDaniel, Md. to Easton on Jul 23, 1908. This is one of a number of Queen Anne, Maryland postcards that we are listing. Queen Anne is at the northeast corner of Talbot County, near Caroline and Queen Anne's Counties on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Please see the photographs, which can be enlarged and are part of the description. This circa 1916 real photograph postcard shows the road bridge at Queen Anne, with Hillsboro on the other side of the river in Caroline County. I believe Talbot County is to the right. This concrete bridge replaced the wood one shown in several of the other views we have listed and is a much scarcer card. It was postmarked 1916 in Queen Anne, and was mailed to Centreville. This is guaranteed to be as described and pictured and is returnable within 7 days if it is not. Please email any questions, and see the terms of sale below. Postage is at cost and can be combined.
