Offering one vintage unused real photo post card of a cow calf being offered as a gift at a gathering on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in North Dakota. The image features a calf with a eagle feather headdress on its head, a woman with a shell dress, a chief with a fine quilled war shirt, a man on a horse with a rope to the calf, a drum circle with drummers and a large group watching in the background under the dance arbor. This is a very rare oversized card made by Fred Olsen of Roseglen, ND. Unlike most of his cards his name is not on this card. It is being sold as a card made by him and if you do not agree you can send it back. The titles are the same as his other cards and clearly his work. The complete title on the front of the card is: INDIAN OFFERING FT. BERTHOLD RESERVATION Its about 3 3/8" X 7". This is the older of the stamp blocks that Olsen used so both the photo and the printing of the card dates to 1911. Great unused condition with a few small faint spots on the front (you can see the largest one above the words (INDIAN OFFERING) and more on the back with light soiling. look at both photos to confirm this and you be the final judge. Original and authentic, RP postcard and not a reproduction. Fred Olsen's first studio was in Viking (name changed to Hamburg) and later in Roseglen, both in ND.
