Vernon Avenue Bridge, Newtown Creek, LI. Unsent c1905. Crease to bottom right side. Newtown Creek from Wikipedia: "Before the nineteenth century urbanization and industrialization of the surrounding neighborhoods, Newtown Creek was a longer and shallower tidal waterway, and wide enough that it contained islands. It drained parts of what are now the neighborhoods of Bushwick, Williamsburg and Greenpoint in Brooklyn; and Maspeth, Ridgewood, Sunnyside and Long Island City in Queens. During the second half of the nineteenth century it became a major industrial waterway, bounded along most of its length by retaining walls, the shipping channel maintained by dredging. The Montauk Branch of the Long Island Rail Road, mainly a freight line, runs along the North bank. A liquid natural gas port is under construction on the South bank, between Kingsland and Greenpoint Avenues, Whale Creek, and the main stream of Newtown Creek." Buyer to pay $1.75 shipping. I accept PayPal. Please email me if you have any questions.

SUPER Nice old ORIGINAL Postcard Bath Beach Railroad Station Brooklyn, New York ca. 1905 For offer and a very nice and RARE old Postcard. Fresh from a local estate. Vintage, Antique, old, Original - NOT a Reproduction - Guaranteed!! Great scene. Train at the station. Advertising sign, people, etc. Undivided back, with postal postmark, stamp, and manuscript message. In good to very good condition. A very light crease at corner edge. Nothing too major. Not sure which line this is, as more research is needed : perhaps the Brooklyn, Flatbush and Coney Island Railroad (The Brighton Line), The New York and Manhattan Beach Railroad, The Prospect Park and Coney Island Railroad (The Culver Line), or The Brooklyn, Bath and Coney Island Railroad (The West End Line). Please see photo below. NOTE: Looks better than shown in photo below - more clear, etc. If you collect early 20th century Americana photo history, advertisement ad, transportation, train locomotive, New York City, County, etc., this is a real nice one for your paper / ephemera collection. Perhaps some genealogy importance for someone as well. Get this one while you can! Winning bidder pays shipping, international s/h is more. No reserve Good luck bidding. Combine Shipping on multiple bid wins!
