In March 1913 cities and towns all over Ohio were flooded as a result of heavy rains falling on still frozen ground. In Akron, more than 9 inches fell over a period of a few days. A dike in the East Reservoir gave way flooding into south Akron. To relieve the pressure, several canal locks had to be destroyed. I will be auctioning a total of 28 postcards in two listings showing some really amazing, unbelievable images from this flood. I will be happy to combine shipping I am a postcard novice, but consulted an expert who stated that these are originals, not reproductions. They are in acid-free sleeves which accounts for any distortion/reflection. If you would like to see pictures of the postcards out of the sleeve, please let me know.
